22nd April 2022 - FIXED: cannot unlock Knuckles; FIXED: Crash on load

Version 4.3.1 continues to propagate to the stores. It should be available to most players now, and should reach everyone over the next few hours.

Older versions of the game have been disabled, which has allowed us to push the fix live on our server. After updating to the latest version of the game, you will be able to unlock Knuckles as usual.

Please note that it may take an hour or so for the latest update to reach everyone. If you can't download it yet please be patient and check back later - you will be able to download it soon.

Older Updates

25th April // 09:45 GMT

The latest update - version 4.3.1 is currently propagating to all stores and should be available to download soon. Once we confirm the update is available to everyone, we'll make a change on the server that will make Knuckles available for everyone with enough cards to unlock.

Please note that this means that Knuckles may still not be available to unlock once you download the new update, but we expect to complete the server-fix for this issue shortly after the update is available, after which Knuckles will be available for everyone to unlock.

Good news! We have a fix in place for the issue where players cannot unlock Knuckles, and expect it to be released later today, 25th April. A final update will be posted here once the update is available.

22nd April // 14:15 GMT

We have released a preliminary fix for the crash some players were experiencing when trying to load the game, so you should now be able to load the game as normal.

However, it's still not possible to unlock Knuckles, even if you have enough cards. The team are continuing to work on this, and we hope to fix this soon. In the meantime, we continue to recommend that you do NOT reinstall the game to try to fix this as it will not resolve your issue.

The team are continuing to investigate this issue. We're also aware that some players who have enough cards to unlock Knuckles are unable to do so. We hope to resolve both of these issues soon, so please check this article regularly for more updates.

We are recommending that you do NOT reinstall the game as it will not resolve the crash and may cause additional issues.

We're aware that Sonic Forces is crashing during loading for some players and are urgently looking into this. Further updates will be posted here as we have them.
