How do I perform a Spin Dash?

There are two ways to perform a Spin Dash, depending in what mode you're using - you can change the mode in the game's settings menu.

Genesis Mode

1. While standing still, hold Down on the directional pad.
2. While still holding down, tap the jump button repeatedly. Your character will start to spin on the spot.
3. Release Down. Your character will speed away.

Original Mode

1. While standing still, hold Down on the directional pad.
2. While still holding down, tap the jump button. Your character will start to spin on the spot.
3. Maximum speed will be achieved when the Spin Dash is given time to accelerate. Release Down.  Your character will speed away.
